Company of Muses Announces Fall Fundraising Event for Dance Scholarships for Local Children in Need
There is no question that the opportunity to participate in an arts programs can be literally life changing for a child. The Company of Muses, a local Brattleboro based not-for-profit organization, announces a two-part fundraising event to provide dance scholarships to community children that might otherwise not be able to financially afford them. For 2016, Company of Muses has committed to providing more funding than ever to reach more students in need. The Silent Auction kicks off this year’s fundraising drive, offering items ranging from $20-$3,000 that will be on display for bidding as part of the November and December Gallery Walks. On November 4th and December 2nd , all items will be available for bidding in The Hooker Dunham Theater Lobby, 139 Main Street downtown Brattleboro. The auction ends at 8:30pm on December 2nd, and that evening the theater will host free dance performances from the Junior and Senior companies of the Brattleboro School of Dance. The incredible collection of items includes a digital art piece by Michel Moyes, an original oil painting by Jim Mc Grath, a “ski and stay” family package for four from The Hermitage Club and Spa, and an exquisite Herkimer diamond and gold necklace from Renaissance Fine Jewelry.
