Long-time area musician Damaris has performed in a variety of combinations over the years, from fronting numerous mainstay local bands to touring as a solo musician. She has performed throughout New England, the Southwest, Austin, TX, and New York City.
In addition to being an award-winning songwriter, Damaris is a strong & versatile vocalist, and distinctive guitar & banjo player. Featuring elements of contemporary folk, acoustic blues, & Appalachian mountain music, the content of her lyrics articulate the conflagrations of life’s challenges and questions. Weaving poetic imagery and keenly universal language, Damaris carries the listener back to the heart of who we are and where we meet as human beings.
Joining Damaris for this concert will be Singing for Our Lives, an a cappella group featuring Indra Tracy, Louise Zak, Maggie Bernhard, Beth Keindl, and Damaris. The group will be performing a number of original a cappella pieces.
