Windham Child Care Association presents: Wanda Houston with the Jazz on the Mothership Trio - a benefit concert on Friday, October 9th at 6pm at the Hooker Dunham Theater. The Jazz on the Mothership Trio is a local ensemble including Eugene Uman on piano, Claire Arenius on drums and Wayne Roberts on bass. Wanda Houston is a nationally known, award winning vocalist with a powerful voice sure to entertain you.
The event will also include a silent auction of artwork by 16 local artists including Judy Hawkins, Matthew Tell, Carol Keiser, Pat McPike and Laura Zindel, as well as 25 gift certificates and items donated by local businesses. Hors d’oeuvres will be provided by Entera Artisanal Catering and local cider, coffee, and homemade desserts will be served. The concert is a non-alcoholic event.

Proceeds from the fundraiser support Windham Child Care Association’s work to ensure access to high quality early care and education for all Windham County families. This includes free child care referrals and access to Vermont’s child care financial assistance program for parents, professional development opportunities and career counseling for early educators, a Farm to Preschool Initiative, the Early Learning Express bookmobile program, and much more.
